As America’s favorite pasttime, kids across the nation and across the world dream of their chance to make it big. There’s a feel to that. There’s a feel to the first time you slide your hand into a glove, the first time you wrap both hands around the bat to feel its weight, that first time you step up to the plate and stare down the pitcher. If you hold on to that hope, the feeling never leaves and that’s why baseball endures.
