PURSUING A LIFE WELL LIVED
The Unexpected film series by Kizik is designed to explore interesting thoughts, opinions, ideas, and inspiration on experiencing a life well lived. Often, when taking a step back from our day-to-day grind, we realize our lives have become ordinary and expected. This series will highlight those who make it a point to venture out beyond routine to harness their passion for… the unexpected.
WHY RAMBLE?
Our motto to “venture beyond routine and comfort” is one-in-the-same with the goal of the Unexpected film series. We are driven to seek out and craft stories around people that are creating and doing interesting things. The vision is to create a series that will inspire others to get up off the couch and put down the phone to go out and live - start a hobby, explore a new area or follow a dream. We have a long list of ideas. Below are a few that stood out thinking about the Kizik Brand.
THE EXECUTION
This series needs to be approachable yet inspiring. Our work has always focused on helping non-actors feel comfortable enough to break down barriers to let us in to see their passion. With our experience in creating docu-style content, we are excited for the impact these stories will have on viewers. Due to the high demand of social content, before shooting we will plan specific social media stories varying in length from <10 seconds to 15, 30, 45 and 60 second segments in addition to the full length edits.
CHELSEA MILLER
Chelsea is a storyteller at heart. Growing up in rural Vermont, she followed in the footsteps of her carpenter/blacksmith father. Knife making for her became a practice, a safe place for self discovery, creative expression and personal freedom. Her knives are an honest representation of her existence as a woman, a daughter, and student of the world.
DAVID MOON
Who is David Moon? Take a dip back to the ‘80s with his nostalgic sound. David first picked up a classical guitar at the age of nine. Later, he was exploring the steel string acoustic guitar as an accompaniment for his emerging vocal style. Experience of playing in school bands then gave David the confidence to take on a leading role. Keen to pursue this emerging style further, David came south to study music at Kingston University where he began to integrate these exciting, percussive styles into his writing and performing.
TRAVIS BONE
His name is Travis Bone - an illustrator, designer of graphics, screen-printer, and werewolf. Furturtle Show Prints started in 2004 from a love of music and of making things. He was born, raised, and currently lives in Utah. He’s been lucky to have worked with the best clients a designer could ever hope to have. From bands to breweries, from snowboards to stationery, his client set is diverse.
LAUREN WZOREK EARL
Lauren has been working with stained glass since she graduated high school. What started as just a hobby, turned into a small business in 2016 when she officially launched SzKlo Glass. She creates jewelry, ornaments, mirrors and more, and has recently collaborated with West Elm’s local collection.
NICK FRANCHI
Most of Nick’s art starts with a single seemingly insignificant object or symbol. Then that object grows into a beautifully balanced scene. As a senior visual designer at Google, Nick is always on the cutting edge of technology and design. But stepping away from the computer is the way he always keeps his ideas fresh. To gain inspiration he skis, hikes and explores.
THE BUCKET LIST FAMILY
The epitome of following your dreams, the Bucket List family is a prime example of a life well lived. Their adventures around the globe are inspiring, yet approachable. Every day with them is a new experience that inspires other to get out there and live.
THANK YOU
This video series is adaptable to work within a variety of campaign slogans. While the title may change or the focus may change, at its heart, theses stories are still based around people pursuing a life well lived. We look forward to working with Kizik team.
